How to register (step-by-step guide)

Registering your child with Clovelly Eagles is straightforward and takes around 5 to 10 minutes if you have everything ready. It’s best done in one sitting.

This page walks you through the full process step by step.

IMPORTANT:
All age groups (except U7 & U8) are CLOSED to new registrations.
Please email the Registrar at clovellyeaglesergo@gmail.com to join a wait list.

Before you start

Please have the following ready:

  • A current head shot photo of your child
  • Your child’s height and weight (this must be accurate)
  • Shoe, shorts and jersey sizes
  • An Active Kids voucher number, if using one
    • Apply online via Service NSW before starting registration
    • Redeemed vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferable

Age groups are set automatically based on your child’s date of birth. If your child needs to play up or down a year, email the registrar at clovellyeaglesrego@gmail.com before registering.

Important notices

  • U12 (children born in 2014) is currently full
Waiting list applications only. Please email the registrar at clovellyeaglesrego@gmail.com.

  • Uniforms are ordered separately via our new e-store
You must complete the uniform order step after registering or your child will not receive a kit.

Step-by-step registration

1

Step 1: Download Rugby Xplorer

Download and open the Rugby Xplorer app on your phone or use the desktop version.
If you already have the app, make sure it’s updated.

2

Step 2: Log in or create an account

Log in using your email address.

  • If you already have an account, enter your password

  • If not, select Sign me up and follow the prompts

Create the account in the parent’s name, then add all children who will be playing.

If your child played last season, their details should already appear.

IMPORTANT: You must log in using the email address you previously used for registration otherwise you will need to create a whole new account.

3

Step 3: Start registration

  • Tap More (bottom right of the app)

  • Select Register

  • Under Play Rugby, select Find a Club (Do not select Rugby Events)

4

Step 4: Find the club

Search for Clovelly and select:

Clovelly JRUFC – Sydney Junior Rugby Union

Do not select Clovelly RUFC. This will not work.

5

Step 5: Choose registration type

From the drop-down menus select:

  • Role: Player

  • Registration type:

    • XV’s Juniors (U8–U12)

    • Tri Time (U5-U7). Note: there will be a NEW U8-U9 non-contact Tri Time competition this year running in parallel with the main contact competition (tackle).

    • Walla (U4 & U5). Note: this is mid-week training only (if you wish to also play games on Saturdays select Tri Time).

  • Duration: Season

Then click Next.

6

Step 6: Personal details

Check details and click Next.

You’ll be asked to upload a head shot.
This can be skipped, but we recommend U10–U12 players upload one before the season starts.

Step 10: Saleable item and uniform note

Leave the affiliation field unchanged unless your child has already registered for another rugby program in 2026.

Your uniform kit is included in your registration fee but must be ordered separately via our new online store. See Step 14 below.

IMPORTANT: If you do not complete this step, your child will NOT receive a uniform.

Step 11: Active Kids voucher

Enter your Active Kids voucher number, if using one.

12

Step 12: Volunteering or donation

Clovelly Eagles is a volunteer-run club.

If you choose not to volunteer in a meaningful way during the season, please make a tax-deductible donation of $70 per family:

  • Click Donate to club on the Registration Summary page

  • Select Other amount and enter $70

This supports additional coaching and club operations.

If no volunteering or donation is recorded by season’s end, a donation reminder will be sent.

13

Step 13: Review and pay

  • Review your registration summary

  • Accept the terms and conditions

  • Enter payment details and submit payment

You should receive an email confirmation once registration is complete.

14

Step 14: Order your child’s uniform kit via our online store

Your uniform kit is included in your registration fee (valued at $132 RRP) but must be ordered separately via our new online store.

It includes four items:

  1. Playing jersey
  2. Training shirt
  3. Playing shorts
  4. Playing socks
  • After registering on Rugby Xplorer, log in to our new online store to order your uniform kit (4 x items) at no cost with the discount code Clovelly26. Uniforms will be delivered directly to your home via Australia Post, with a small postage fee. The uniform bundle is limited to one per registered player. Please be accurate with your size requests (use the size charts!) as we have limited stock available for exchange.

  • If you would like to purchase another jersey, training shirt, shorts or socks, simply order at the price listed on the website.

  • If you have multiple children, you will need to create separate orders.

  • Orders placed before 15 January are likely to arrive by mid-March.

  • Orders placed after 16 January are likely to arrive by late April.

IMPORTANT: If you do not complete this step, your child will NOT receive a uniform.

IMPORTANT: Parent volunteers also need to register

If you plan to be a coach, assistant coach, manager, ground marshal or assistant referee, you must register yourself separately.

The process is similar, but you’ll select the appropriate role and enter your Working With Children Check if required.

There is no cost to register as an adult.

A note on refunds

Registration fees are split between Clovelly JRFC, Sydney Junior Rugby Union, NSW Rugby Union and Rugby Australia.

If a refund is required, Clovelly JRFC can only approve the portion of fees paid directly to the club.
